BMS/Controls Sales Manager

Supplying integrated systems for building automation, our client is one of the biggest players in the information technology for buildings. They strive to develop, produce and market products and solutions and services that improve the indoor environment and provide the building owner with added value in the form of lower operating costs and more attractive properties. They are now looking to strengthen their team and appoint a motivated, experienced Sales Manager for the Republic of Ireland, reporting directly to the Divisional Sales Director to help expand and further their business.

Role responsibilities:

Responsible for developing business from new, existing or dormant users’ of the products and services our client provides through the management of a Sales Team.
Make decisions on account holders and Sales Team and ensure all accounts are maintained in up to date form. 
Follow the companies, standard Account Planning Template which, in turn, forms part of the companies CRM Tool and ensure this is maintained by the Sales Team. In turn use the CRM Tool in accordance with company guidelines to track opportunities and confirm winning strategies are built.
Be fully responsible for the achievement of targets measured by Key Performance Indicators associated with order input, sales volume by segment, sales margin and business mix, all according to budgeted requirements.
Create monthly reports to measure KPIs covering a minimum of: Order, Sales and Margin forecasts; Competitor analysis and Sales Pipeline review.
Coach Sales Team to ensure all ‘face to face’ opportunities with all contacts within each account are optimized. 
Use the templates and processes provided from within  (SLU) to maintain detailed records for each Sales Team member and carry out activity analysis that will be managed exclusively by use of the companies standard Customer Relationship management System . 
The Sales Manager shall forecast such order input in accordance with established company practice and by utilisation of Sales Pipeline.

Communicate effectively, both internally and externally, in the written and spoken word.
Ensure that quotations and proposals are prepared by the exclusive use of our client and in accordance with published authority levels.
Plan available time for both team and self in accordance with the principles of time management.
Evolve journey plans for both team and self that are activity focussed and cost effective.
Maintain the vehicle used for company business in a condition commensurate with the image of the company.
Organise and execute Sales Meetings, conferences, training events or briefings as directed by the Divisional Director and in order to meet the ongoing development needs of each Sales Team member.
Manage operating expenses for both team and self in line with budgeted requirements while maximising value added opportunities for entertaining key account contacts.
Provide, as required, feedback on: Marketing opportunities; Technical issues; Competitive position & Market intelligence.
